Lincolnton fares well in dual team first round

First round dual team playoffs were held May 8 at Lincolnton High School.

Lincolnton- 6 no. 2 Midwest 2-A 10-5 Overall.

Forbush- 1 no. 2 Mountain Valley 2-A 10-9 Overall.

The top of Lincolnton’s line-up cruised, but Forbush made us Lincolnton work hard for the win from three games down. Lincolnton had hoped to end the match in singles, but dropped no. 3 in a close match and no. 5 & no. 6 took a while to get victories. John James and Devin High paced the team with wins in both singles and doubles. Andrew Allender fought to win a good match at no. 5. John James and Devin High won their doubles match as Lee Campbell did at no.6.

Lincolnton will travel to the West Regional Tournament Friday/Saturday.

LHS comes up short against East Rutherford
