They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Well, that was the case for the JV softball team at East Lincoln.

They, like their varsity team, finished undefeated in the conference with a mark of 8-0. Overall, they finished 11-2.

The team was led by strong pitching. Nicole Baxter finished 6-1 with four shutouts. More impressively, she chalked up two no-hitters. Lindsey Smith finished with a respectable mark of 3-1.

The offense was led by Sarah Cooke and Smith, as both of them finished with a .500 batting average. Baxter led the team in RBIs with nine for the year.

On the base paths Debbie Jackson was a blur as she swiped 25 stolen bases.

Jackson, a catcher, and Lindsey Smith, a shortstop garnered co-mvp awards for the year.
